Young Artist Orchestra

The 2012-2013 season of the Fine Arts Center's Orchestra-in-Residence, the Young Artist Orchestra, will encompass three rehearsal/concert cycles, six performances, and the combined efforts of three symphony orchestras. In each cycle, the YAO will share the stage with the Greenville County Philharmonic (Kathleen Robinson, Director) and, in its third and final cycle, will partner once again with members of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra in the annual Shoulder-to-Shoulder project. Three soloists -- oboist Ann-Elise Siden (Southside  2012), violinist Hayden Wilson (Fine Arts Center/WHHS 2011) and pianist Stephen Hawkey (home school, 2011) -- will be showcased by the YAO.  Violinist Josh Liu (League Academy 2006) and clarinetist Jeremy Chen (Riverside 2012) will serve as soloists with the Greenville County Philharmonic.
The Young Artist Orchestra is directed by Fine Arts Center music faculty member Dr. Gary Auguste Robinson.
