We are one newsletter away from having the landscaping at the front of
our building finished! Our next newsletter is scheduled for the first
week in December and, by then, our "front porch" will be one of the most
attractive of any public building in the county. Funded in part by the
Fine Art Center pARTners (which means you and your generous
contributions to our various activities, including the A Taste of the
Fine Arts event) and with a design by Graham Kimak Landscaping, the work
will begin before the end of September. If all goes well, it will be
completed before Halloween. It will be lighted at night, complementing
the stainless steel John Acorn sculpture at the west end of building
and, if we face another summer like this one, the irrigation will ensure
that anything we plant will thrive.
We all know that the inside of the building is beautiful -- a living
metaphor for what happens in our studios. Soon, when the public drives
up to the building, they'll have a fitting welcome to what goes on
inside!
Thanks for your help!
